Indian Masala Chai - Loose Leaf

Masala chai is a combination of black tea, ginger, and other spices combined to create an incredible flavor that’s typically served as a milk tea.

This premium tea is packaged in a metal tin canister to maintain its freshness and flavor.

When steeped, masala chai has a bold and spicy flavor with hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger. It is traditionally made with milk and sweetened with sugar, but it can also be enjoyed without milk or sweetener. Masala chai does has naturally occurring caffeine.

Many people enjoy starting their day with a cup of masala chai to wake up and energize their senses. The bold and spicy flavor of the tea, combined with the warmth and comfort of the hot beverage, can help kick-start the day. It is also a popular post-dinner drink as the spices in the tea can help stimulate digestion and the warm and comforting nature of the drink can help relax and soothe the stomach.

To prepare a cup of masala chai, simply steep a teaspoon of the loose leaf tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes. You can also enjoy it iced by steeping the tea in hot water, then straining and adding ice. Experiment with the steeping time and amount of tea leaves to find your perfect cup. To make masala chai with milk, steep a teaspoon of loose leaf tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes. Then add a cup of milk to the steeping tea  and allow the tea to heat back to the point of boiling to bring out a caramel flavor from the milk. You can also add sweetener to taste, such as sugar, honey, or agave syrup. For a creamier and richer chai, try using whole milk or a plant-based milk alternative.
